This weekend is turning out to be a rocker – albeit a pretty cold one. Luckily, you’ll be dancing, bopping, laughing and grooving enough not to notice. Take a break from the mad shopping to enjoy some music. And if you must buy some Christmas presents, we have a great list of on sales too.

Thursday, December 9 – The Kicks, The Bridges at Smith’s Olde Bar

The Kicks are from Nashville and know how to rock ‘n’ roll, in a South-meets-indie-meets-pop sensibilities, and you’re going to love it. The Bridges sound as sweet as they look, mixing the temperament of The Bangles and the grooves of Elvis Costello. You could do a lot worse than seeing both bands at Smith’s Olde Bar tonight.

Friday, December 10 – Modern Skirts, Today the Moon, Tomorrow the Sun at The EARL

Taking a turn away from sharp pop and moving towards to fuzzy lofi indie rock, Modern Skirts are certainly making some interesting changes. They’ll be playing with Atlanta’s electro rockers Today the Moon, Tomorrow the Sun.
